Zachary Keenan, who goes by Zack, is from Amherst, MA. He is a carpenter by trade and earns his livelihood in house construction on Windward, O‘ahu.

“I’m very interested in the chance to sail with Hōkūle’a. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be able to sail to Palmyra, especially with such a great crew.”

“I hope that the worldwide voyage will inspire people, and give them confidence to undertake their own personal voyages. I hope it will raise awareness of the degradation of our ocean resources and I hope it will encourage people to take an active role in stewardship of our precious planet.”
