Michael McGuire is from Käne‘ohe, Hawai‘i. Buddy, as his friends know him best, is happily retired and very excited to begin the journey with Höküle‘ato Palmyra.

“I whole heartedly support the stated mission of Höküle’a. When I first read it, I remember being very impressed and moved to join the effort. There’s not much to say about it really. I’ve thrown my hat in the ring, and I’m here to do my part.”

“I hope to captain and/or crew several legs of the worldwide voyage. Palmyra is just the beginning, and as we all well know, there’s a much wider world beyond that horizon.”
