Jessica Seipp hails from Kunia, O‘ahu. Kamaka, as she’s better known, is a research assistant for the Department of Native Hawaiian Health at the John A. Burns School of Medicine, University of Hawai‘i.

“I’m interested in serving on the crew of this mission because it would be an honor to visit a place that is such a beautiful example of what people do when they malama ‘āina. For the worldwide voyage, I hope to bring the world to a tiny island chain in the middle of the ocean.”
