Today's arrival of the Hōkūle'a and Kama Hele

Russell, Hokulea captainFamilies and friends gathered at the Marine Education Training Center to welcome Hōkūle‘a and Kama Hele back from what has been described as one of the most difficult voyages on which Hōkūle‘a has ever been. Constant bad weather, cloud cover and high seas ensured that the crews of both vessels learned a lifetime of lessons.

Hokulea returnTears and laughter combined as voyagers embraced each other, friends and family upon their return to Hawai‘i after two difficult weeks of sailing.
