Aloha kākou,
Hōkūle'a sited the island of Hawai‘i last night around 1:00 am. Winds are extremely light on the leeward side of the island, but they are still traveling on slowly.
Their sail plan is to go to the Fishing Aggregation Device (FAD) to catch the wind line. From there, they will sail to Molkini. From Molokini, they will sail to the north side of Lāna‘i and then to the Diamond Head buoy. And, finally home to the Marine Education Training Center here on O‘ahu.
We estimate theyʻll be back tomorrow afternoon or early evening.
As we get more information, we will post.

The Final Hours
I'm sure as you embark on the final leg home you are met with an array of mixed emotions. The anticipation and excitement of seeing friends and loved ones and LAND! and the bittersweet departing of your "Sea Homes". Rest assured cold "beverages" await you! Till then, may smooth seas shuttle you home. Aloha.
Your Oahu Return
Blessings and good winds for your safe return home.
