Training: Why we waited to sail

March 10, 2009 – It looks like today will be the day that we finally launch for Palmyra Atoll.

However, we've been getting lots of questions about how the decision to sail occurs. First there was too much wind, then too much cloud cover, then not enough wind. So, what makes for a good sailing day?
