Steering to Palmyra

After watching the video on steering, you may have wondered how hard it is to actually steer Hōkūle‘a. On their way to Palmyra, the crew took turns manning the steering sweep. You can see captain and navigator Bruce Blankenfeld always vigilantly watching the skies and feeling the wind and waves in order to set their course.
