Crew member Mike Taylor was one of the few people who was on both legs of the Palmyra voyage (on the Kama Hele going to Palmyra and on the Hōkūle'a on the way back). His experiences on the two legs were vastly different.

Here he shares a few photos from the journey back to Hawai'i. Because the weather was so wet and rough, cameras didn't come out very often. Yet, in these images, you can see how different the voyage was compared to  the journey to Palmyra.
