Training: Just how windy is it?

March 2, 2009 - In preparation for her worldwide sail using only traditional navigation methods, the Hawaiian voyaging canoe Hōkūle‘a will sail to Palmyra Atoll 1,000 miles south of Hawai‘i.

This training mission has been delayed several days due to the weather. To give an idea of just how windy it's been, one of the crewmembers sent this video from today's practice sail.
