Training: Hōkūle‘a duties

Aboard Hōkūle‘a we share duties… raising and lowering sails, steering, cooking, cleaning, being ever vigilant to the signs nature gives us, stepping forward whenever someone needs help. We are expected to rise to every occasion to ensure smooth sailing. Without a keen sense of responsibility to our wa‘a, captain and each other, we would never be able to reach our destination.
