Training: The Open Ocean

We receive a lot of questions about being on the open ocean and what it feels like to be so far away from land. It is an amazing feeling that is extremely difficult to put into words. Doctor Craig Thomas shared that it gives him perspective, while Keala Kai said it dares us to dream beyond the horizon.

Photographer and excellent crew Monte Costa feels that her experience on the open ocean enriches her understanding and connection with the natural world and gives her an appreciation for the vastness of the ocean and the sky.
